About the Service
The Your Money Team consists of 10 Advisors reporting to the Your Money Supervisor within Revenues and Benefits. We support residents across the East Riding and hold the Advice Quality Standard for delivering high‑quality guidance to individuals experiencing personal financial crisis.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will work directly with residents to help them improve their financial situation.
This may include:
Advising customers on ways to maximise their income
Explaining welfare benefit entitlement
Helping residents to manage their household budget
Supporting people to sustain their tenancies
Understanding and explaining priority debts
Referring or signposting to other services (internal and external)
Providing debt advice
Setting sustainable arrangements for rent, Council Tax arrears and adult social care
Maintaining accurate and detailed case notes
How Support Is Delivered
We are an accessible service, and support may be provided:
By telephone (including text)
In person at a Customer Service Centre
In the individual’s home
This role may require travel in the East Riding area, for which a mileage allowance is paid. Home‑working options are also available as part of our agile working approach.

Salary
The starting salary is Grade 5a £29,064 pa (pro rata full time equivalent - actual salary for 16 hours is £12,568pa). With experience and the development of required knowledge and skills, the postholder will have the opportunity to progress within the grade.
