Job Description
We're looking for a DevOps engineer with knowledge of Google Cloud networking and a passion for creating secure, reliable, automated infrastructure at scale. You don't need to tick every box - but should recognise yourself in most of the following:
What's needed to be considered for this job?
· Hands-on engineering experience with GCP networking in enterprise environments - exposure to core services like VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, DNS, Load balancers, Private Connectivity and Cloud / Hybrid NAT.
· Terraform expertise and experience deploying infrastructure as code.
· Practical DevOps experience using modern tooling (e.g., Git, Terraform, Terraform Cloud, GitHub, Harness).
· Taking time and doing it right - whether reviewing code, supporting colleagues, or resolving networking issues across production and non-production environments.
· Strong engineering discipline: designing, deploying, and owning services through their full lifecycle, with security, compliance and reliability built in.
About you
You enjoy working with challenges and building resilient, automated solutions at scale. You're energised by how cloud networking underpins modern AI, data and hybrid-cloud architectures. You care about doing things the right way: secure, observable, automated and resilient - and work across teams to achieve it.
Nice to have (Not required - but great if you have some of them.)
· Experience maintaining large-scale GCP networking or hybrid connectivity environments.
· Network Connectivity Centre
· Understanding of how GCP networking supports key workloads (e.g., Compute, Database, storage, and data/AI platforms).
· Familiarity with Python or Bash for infrastructure automation.
· Knowledge of enterprise network concepts such as IP management, proxies, firewalls, Infoblox or identity platforms.
· Exposure to monitoring and telemetry systems (e.g., Dynatrace, Google Cloud Monitoring).
· Relevant GCP certifications or a background in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
