Occupational Therapist - Community Mental Health

 * Shift pattern: Monday – Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00; Friday, 09:00 – 16:30
 * Fixed term: 12 months (covering maternity leave)
About the role
The post is for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Community Mental Health Team based at Riverview Resource Centre, Dumbarton, for a 12‑month period.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and develop the Occupational Therapy service and user experience by delivering core Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions.
Responsibilities
 * Carry out specialist core Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions using the Model of Human Occupation.
 * Work closely with multidisciplinary team (MDT) colleagues including nursing, psychiatry, psychology and social work.
 * Shape and develop the Occupational Therapy service and experience for service users.
 * Use standardised assessment tools to demonstrate the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy interventions.
Qualifications and skills
 * Experienced Occupational Therapist with strong core skills.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 * Collaborative clinical style.
 * Well‑developed knowledge of the care of adults with mental health problems and appropriate interventions.
