Role overview:
We are seeking a dedicated paralegal to join our residential conveyancing team in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will assist on a variety of conveyancing transactions and contribute to the continued success of our firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team within a thriving legal practice. We are looking for someone with an interest in developing their residential conveyancing knowledge. Experience in residential conveyancing is preferred but not essential.
Key responsibilities:
· Open files and conduct initial due diligence.
· Assist the lawyers with a range of conveyancing transactions.
· Preparing documentation such as contract packs, mortgage and search reports.
· Prepare transfer documents, routine correspondence and requisitions on title.
· Obtain and check redemption figures, helping prepare files for exchange and completion.
· Liaising with Clients, Solicitors, Estate Agents and other professionals in person, on the phone and by email.
· Excellent client care skills and the ability to build good rapport.
· Assist with file closure.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet targets and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence.
Qualifications and skills:
· Law degree and LPC are preferred but not essential
· Knowledge of residential conveyancing law, regulations, and best practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Proficient in case management systems and IT tools.
