Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job is workstyle 5.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices, allowing you to work from council buildings and at home.

Within the IT service, you will work towards achieving a degree in an IT-related subject, including attending Dundee University one day a week.

As part of our Graduate Apprenticeship programme, we will help you develop skills, knowledge, and confidence, with full induction, training, and support from the council and our training partners to complete a nationally recognized qualification.

Your duties will include administration of the Council's financial systems, manning the service desk, handling telephone duties, requests, incidents, and general administrative tasks using various software packages.

Graduate Apprenticeship funding is available for those aged 16 and over, with no upper age limit. Applicants should be ordinarily resident in the UK, Islands, Gibraltar, or EEA/Switzerland for the past 3 years. Those outside Scotland but within these areas should be residing in Scotland by 1 August.

This position is temporary for a fixed term of four years from the date of appointment.
