Working as part of a team in the factory, your duties may include assembling parts in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment, and install, maintain, and repair electrical plant, machinery, appliances and wiring. While undertaking this role you must ensure you comply with food safety, legality, quality and health and safety at all times.
Key Duties
* Fault diagnosis and repair of equipment, specialising in a mechanical or electrical discipline, with experience in the other discipline
* Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed
* Provision of technical support and general maintenance of the site
* Working with electric, hydraulic and pneumatic operated equipment
* Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning in safe and correct manner
* Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job cards
* Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose
* Support in identifying process improvement
* Maintain and promote high standards and quality of work
* Ensure that company policies and procedures and health and safety practices are followed
* Assembling parts and sub-assemblies using hand tools and by brazing, riveting or welding
* Cutting, bending and installing electrical conduit
* Examining drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to determine the method and sequence of operations
* Examining electrical plant or machinery, domestic appliances and other electrical assembly for faults using test equipment and replaces worn parts and faulty wiring
* Installing electrical plant, machinery and other electrical fixtures and appliances such as fuse boxes, generators, light sockets etc
* Selecting, cutting and laying wires and connecting to sockets, plugs or terminals by crimping, soldering, brazing or bolting
* Ensuring appropriate housekeeping standards are maintained on a daily basis.
Requirements
* UKVI sponsorship requirements
* Nationally recognised Engineering qualifications from the country of original or equivalent
* Apprenticeship served certificate demonstrating practical and technical experience
* Minimum of 2 years practical experience
* Candidates must have good eyesight and normal colour vision
