This role involves overseeing and maintaining a private estate, managing staff and contractors, handling budgets and financial records, coordinating property upkeep and repairs, and ensuring overall efficiency and legal compliance. Key responsibilities include managing staff and groundskeepers, overseeing maintenance and construction projects, handling administrative tasks, and often assisting with event planning and budget management to meet the principal's or owner's requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Staff and Contractor Management:
* Managing and coordinating with external contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and large projects.
* Property and Grounds Maintenance:
* Overseeing all maintenance, repairs, and renovation projects for buildings, landscaping, and estate grounds.
* Ensuring properties meet safety, health, and legal standards.
* Security and Safety:
* Implementing and managing security measures to ensure the safety and privacy of the property and its occupants.
* In the event of an emergency, call the appropriate response team or authorities.
* Financial and Administrative Management:
* Preparing and managing budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining financial records.
* Handling administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, managing insurance claims, and dealing with legal documents.
* Liaising with accountants and in-house accounts team.
* Strategic Planning and Operations:
* Meeting with the estate owners to discuss plans, goals, and upcoming events.
* Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the estate runs efficiently and effectively.
* Build relationships with developers, landlords, and investment group to expand the Estates Management portfolio.
* Attend networking events to promote our Estates Management services.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
* Budgeting and financial management skills, with commercial awareness.
* Experience in managing staff and handling complex projects.
* Knowledge of groundskeeping, agriculture, and property maintenance.
* Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office.
* Full clean driving licence.
This is a part time role, with the opportunity to make this a full time role as the department grows. Salary is pro rata.
