We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Occupational Health Nurse to lead and coordinate our occupational health services across multiple sites within our regional clinic network. This role ensures the highest standards of occupational health and safety in line with Network Rail’s policies.

* Location: This role is based at one of the OH site locations: Birmingham, Milton Keynes, or Derby.
* Band & Salary: £46,701 - £55,411
What Does the Role Entail?
Lead and coordinate a skilled team of occupational health nurses and technicians, ensuring efficient clinical operations across multiple sites and maintaining optimal staffing levels.
Uphold Network Rail’s occupational health standards, managing health surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, and medical fitness-to-work assessments, while staying abreast of legislative changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to shape and improve service delivery, provide expert technical advice, and drive continuous improvement. Oversee case management for short- and long-term sickness absence and contribute to rehabilitation and redeployment strategies.
Deliver business reporting and analysis to support decision-making and lead quality assurance through regular audits. Provide clinical supervision and ensure adherence to NMC standards. Design and deliver training to upskill the team and ensure high-quality care.
Essential Criteria
* Registered nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register or Part 3 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - OH
* Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and post-graduate OH experience in a safety-critical environment
* Experience managing a team of occupational health resources
* Knowledge of occupational health management and risk assessment processes
* Experience managing a clinical environment
* Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR compliance
* Travel within the regional location area is essential
