The Job Role
You will provide farming customers with a professional and integrated prescription agronomy service, including product supply and complementary services that may evolve over time.
Location
South West England
Salary Package
£40,000 - £60,000 + Car or Car Allowance (salary negotiable depending on experience).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain regular contact with customers, inspect crops, and provide advice on variety choice, rotations, cultivation techniques, nutritional requirements, and crop protection.
* Follow the company's product and pricing strategies.
* Consider environmental factors and manufacturer label guidelines when advising.
* Comply with UK regulatory approvals for crop protection products.
* Engage in business development activities to win new customers, with progress reports to your line manager.
* Collaborate with the logistical team to ensure quality customer service.
* Keep records of cropping and forecast upcoming cropping needs for supply planning.
* Manage customer debts and liaise with the credit controller.
* Provide reports on business activities as required.
* Use business systems for data entry and recommendations, ensuring data is up-to-date and backed up.
* Supply crop data for at least 20% of serviced acreage post-harvest.
* Adhere to company policies on IT, internet, email, and Data Protection.
Candidate Skills and Requirements
* Member of the BASIS Professional Register with adequate CPD points.
* FACTS Qualification.
* Attend relevant training, conferences, and briefings.
* Handle customer complaints professionally, informing management and recording issues appropriately.
* Familiarity with company policies and health and safety regulations.
