Market Risk BI Developer Snowflake & Power BI Hybrid - 3 Days p/w in London Competitive Salary Benefits Bonus ​​​​​ Deerfoot is partnering with a leading international banking group to hire a Market Risk BI Developer who will design and implement advanced data solutions using Snowflake and Power BI. This role works closely with risk managers and business stakeholders to build scalable analytics for market risk (including VaR, sensitivities, and stress testing), and to migrate legacy Credit Risk platforms to a modern Snowflake/Power BI architecture. The successful candidate will drive enhancements to the Market Risk platform, manage requirements directly with stakeholders, deliver impactful data solutions, and expand support for additional bank entities. They will also play a key role in developing robust ELT processes to replace Excel EUCs. Collaboration and strong project estimation skills are vital for success in this international team/department. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, cubes, and reports for market risk analytics. Design and optimise data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and ADF for robust data integration and quality. Contribute to migrating legacy credit risk systems (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) to the new architecture. Collaborate with risk managers and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions. Troubleshoot data issues, optimise performance, and ensure system reliability. Support CI/CD pipeline deployment and automated testing for data solutions. Mentor junior developers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake and Power BI. Strong expertise in data modelling, query optimisation, and Power BI development (DAX, dashboards). Hands-on with dbt, SQL, Python, and ELT/ETL pipeline development. Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), and migrating legacy data platforms to cloud solutions. Financial services exposure, ideally with market or credit risk analytics. Ability to produce technical documentation and communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.This permanent position based in Central London (3 days per week onsite, 2 days per week WFH) pays a base salary of £TBC plus a performance-based bonus and benefits including a 10% employer pension contribution, life insurance, income protection, critical illness cover, generous holiday allowances with options to buy/sell, private medical insurance, premier health screening and a flexible benefits portal for optional extras via salary sacrifice.
