Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our care home team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff through delivery of meals to our residents, keeping the kitchen clean & tidy. Completing documentaion on meals.
Responsibilities
* Laying of dining tables in preparation for meals.
* Documenting any food and fluids consumed by residents.
* Ensuring all residents have fresh jugs of water or juice intheir rooms on a daily basis.
* Support Care Staff in delivery of hot drinks during tea rounds.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
* Help with the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
* Assist in serving meals to residents, ensuring an excellent dining experience.
* Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
