Spire Regency, Macclesfield, is recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Associate Theatre Practitioner to join our high-performing Theatre Team.
This role focuses on orthopaedic scrub. It offers the opportunity to work at one of the UK’s leading private hospitals, alongside experienced consultants, covering diverse cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist the surgeon in the operating theatre as a scrub nurse under supervision, for procedures within your assessed competence, focusing on minor elective procedures.
* Prepare, supply, and maintain instrumentation and equipment for operative procedures.
* Position and connect equipment as required; disconnect and remove equipment safely when needed.
* Ensure proficiency with equipment per local policies and manufacturer instructions.
* Prepare sterile trolleys and ensure instrumentation is correct and accounted for pre, intra, and post-operation.
* Undertake surgical scrubbing, gowning, and gloving aseptically.
* Assist in skin preparation and draping of the surgical field.
* Help prepare medicines during surgery as per local agreements.

* Basic awareness of health, safety, and hygiene.
* Flexible working within shift duties.
* Relevant ATP qualification.
* Mandatory training in infection control and health and safety.
* Awareness of infection control practices.
