We currently have a fantastic opportunity with a leading Dairy Company supplying a wide range of branded consumer products and ingredients into the UK, Irish and International Markets.
As a Shift Engineering Technician in there Cookstown processing plant, your core responsibility is to optimise production efficiency and minimize downtime through preventative maintenance and timely repairs. You'll be on a 3 on, 3 off 12-hour shift pattern, primarily working days but covering night shifts for holidays or absences as needed.
Duties include:
* Provide engineering support and repairs to manufacturing equipment on a 3 on, 3 off 12-hour day shift.
* Carry out CMMS scheduled PPM tasks to help minimise equipment failure rates.
* Optimise machinery, plant, and building performance to reduce downtime and enhance OEE.
* Collaborate with production colleagues to optimise process setups for maximum yield.
* Develop effective preventative maintenance strategies and respond promptly to equipment faults.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
* Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
* Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and personal standards policies.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
* Collaborate within a flexible, interdependent team, taking on reasonable tasks as needed.
Required:
* Applicants must have completed an electrical engineering apprenticeship or training program and hold a recognised UK qualification.
* At least three years of engineering experience within a manufacturing setting is required.

* Proficiency in English communication, both written and oral, is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
* IT literate.
Desirable:
* Experience working in the food Industry.
* PLC experience.
* CIP knowledge.
