Location: Brent, Northwest London

Contract: Full-time | Long-term
Pay: £90–£105 per day (dependent on experience)

A highly supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Brent is seeking a confident and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for someone with the resilience, empathy and presence to support students who have been excluded from mainstream education and require consistent, tailored support.

You will work closely with young people who display a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, many of whom have experienced significant disruption in their education. Your role will involve building relationships, supporting emotional regulation, encouraging engagement in learning and helping students develop more positive behaviour patterns.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll be part of a committed and experienced team working to create structure, safety, and opportunity for students who need it most.

Key Requirements:

* Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
* Confident using behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
* Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of safeguarding and the complex needs of vulnerable students.
* A background in education, youth work, or mental health is beneficial but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
