Job Duties:
* Provide support and assistance to primary school students with special educational needs
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
* Work closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment
* Help students with personal care and mobility needs
* Support students in classroom activities and during break times
Required Qualifications:
* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not compulsory
* Experience working with children with special educational needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting
* Knowledge of special educational needs practises and strategies
* Ability to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional training in special educational needs
* First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
* Working hours may vary depending on school requirements
* May involve physical activity such as assisting with student mobility
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students
* Regular collaboration with teaching staff and educational specialists

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
