Role Description
I’m working with a well-established and growing accountancy firm in Cambridge that is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Manager to lead the delivery of personal tax services within their Private Client team.
You will manage a varied portfolio with complex tax affairs, overseeing compliance and advisory work while building strong client relationships. This is a leadership-focused role where you’ll provide expert tax planning advice, review technical work, and support the continued growth of the tax function.

What you’ll do
* Review complex Private Client tax returns and approve final tax packs for issue
* Manage a sizeable portfolio of clients with complex personal tax needs
* Provide expert advice on UK tax planning and compliance matters
* Oversee workflow, WIP and billing to ensure effective job recovery
* Delegate and review work of junior team members, supporting their development Conduct technical research and identify advisory opportunities
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
What you’ll need
* Strong experience within Private Client Tax in a UK practice environment
* Confident reviewing complex personal tax returns
* Experience managing client portfolios and supervising junior staff
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements
