The Role
We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team at Go North East. Based at our Head Office in Gateshead, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering on and offline marketing and communications activities for customers and stakeholders. There's more to the role than bus timetables and writing social media posts. One day you could be filming the Metrognomes taking over one of our buses and the next, organising an engagement event to gather feedback from our drivers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
* To coordinate a range of on and offline marketing campaigns, from driving more bums on board to recruiting more drivers to join our team.
* Create engaging digital content including short-form video, photography, reels and graphics.
* Film and edit short videos for social media, recruitment campaigns, and internal communications, helping tell the stories of our people, services and communities.
* Manage a portfolio of social media accounts across multiple channels.
* Evaluate and report on monthly social media statistics, making recommendations for future content strategies.
* To help coordinate internal communications and engagement events so that our front-line staff are fully aware of all new products, services and company strategies.
* To work effectively with colleagues across the business to ensure that all communications are delivered and distributed effectively.
* Use Google Analytics and other digital insights tools to track performance and improve the customer journey.
* Keep up to date with current digital and social media trends, suggesting new ideas to enhance our marketing strategy.
* Plan and support company events where necessary.
* Any other duties within the scope and general nature of the grade which may be required.
Person Specification
* Experience in a marketing and communications-focused role, with a well-developed knowledge of on and offline marketing channels.
* Experience creating digital content, including filming and editing short-form video for social media or marketing campaigns.
* Experienced in using social media platforms to communicate with a wide range of audiences.
* Experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is advantageous
* Critical thinker with problem-solving skills.
* Superb organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Demonstratable interpersonal and communication skills.
* Effective time-management skills.
* Experience of meeting demanding targets in an office environment as part of a team.
* Ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Highly customer focused.
* A Marketing, Communications or related degree.
Salary: £28,000-30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
