Redstone Commodity Search is working with a leading agricultural commodities trading firm seeking to hire an experienced Fertilizer Trader to expand their commercial activities across the UK and European markets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute trading strategies for a portfolio of fertilizers (e.g., urea, ammonium nitrate, NPK) with full P&L responsibility.
* Originate, negotiate, and close physical fertilizer transactions with producers, distributors, and end-users across the UK and Europe.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to grow trading volumes and improve margins.
* Monitor global market trends, pricing dynamics, freight rates, and currency risks to identify profitable opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient contract execution and risk management.
Key Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in physical fertilizer trading or agricultural commodity sales, with proven commercial success.
* Strong network of contacts within the fertilizer industry across the UK and European markets.
* In-depth understanding of supply chains, pricing structures, and regulatory frameworks relevant to fertilizer trade.
* Excellent negotiation skills and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
