Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in Electronic Engineering at Durham University. We are seeking a highly-motivated and ambitious researcher with a strong background and experience in RF/microwave engineering, additive manufacturing, and AI modelling to work on cutting-edge research in the development of sustainable chipless RFID systems for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The project will be carried out in close collaboration with Jiva Materials Ltd and is funded by the EPSRC Impact Accelerator Account (IAA). This is a fixed-term role for 6 months, with an immediate start date, due to the project's focused scope. This post is fixed term owing to the available funding on this time-limited project and will end on or before 31st December 2026. The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols.
