About The Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be ensuring the level of clinical care we offer meets professional standards, statutory, regulatory and legal requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to deliver a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
Responsibilities
* Ensure clinical care meets professional, statutory, regulatory and legal standards.
* Provide specialist nursing support and advice.
* Take responsibility for resident care during the Home Manager’s absence.
* Supervise and coach colleagues to deliver high empathy for resident issues.
* Maintain accurate records and manage time effectively.
* Communicate with residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner.
* Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns appropriately.
* Attend safeguarding training appropriate to role and undertake additional training as required.
Qualifications
* Valid NMC PIN.
* Knowledge of National Standards and NMC code of practice.
* Background in person‑centred care planning within a care home.
* Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
* Excellent time‑management and record‑keeping abilities.
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate, positive attitude.

Working Hours
40 hours per week, working 8am-5pm with alternative weekends. May be required to cover shifts on the floor 8am-8pm.
