Payroll Accountant (Part-qualified)
I am working with an established business, who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced part-qualified Payroll Accountant to join a dynamic finance team during an exciting period of change.
* Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience
* Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 from home
* Location: London
The role:
You will work closely with senior stakeholders throughout the business and play a vital part in supporting the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a sound understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements. Expertise in payroll accounting will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting the Finance Manager in managing
month-end payroll accounting
close processes.
* Reviewing and
reconciling payroll balance sheet accounts
, ensuring all balances are properly documented and supported. Highlighting areas of risk and opportunities when they arise.
* Collaborating with the Payroll team to gather the necessary data to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
* Supporting
internal and external audits
to ensure
reporting compliance.
* Driving process improvement initiatives to maintain and implement best practices.
* Preparing other management information required by the business.
* Carrying out additional tasks as necessary.
What You'll Need:
* Progress towards a professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
* Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
* Experience preparing
balance sheet reconciliations
.
* Familiarity with processing
internal recharges
.
* Solid understanding of accounting principles.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative effectively.
