- The Porterbrook Care Home Contract: Full Time, Part- Time, Bank Salary: £12.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Nights Contracted hours: Full Time, Part Time, Bank Our care home in Crosspool, Sheffield provides high-quality Residential and Dementia care for up to 44 residents.

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Nightshift Care Assistant to join our team.
This role is open to both those who are experienced in care and those who are new to the sector.
What matters most is kindness, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and confidence to thrive.
What We Offer £12.21 per hour Paid breaks and handover Full-time and part-time roles available Night shift times: 6.00pm – 6.00am Pension scheme and paid DBS Uniform provided and free onsite parking 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) What You Will Do As a Nightshift Care Assistant, you will support residents with personal care and mobility, provide reassurance and companionship during the night, and help with nutrition and hydration needs.
You will maintain accurate care records, follow individual care plans, and ensure the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming throughout the night.
What We’re Looking For You may already have experience in care or be looking to start your first role in this rewarding sector.
Either way, you will bring a caring nature, patience, and the ability to make residents feel safe and supported.
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to delivering person-centred care are essential.
