About the Role
As our Seller Performance Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting OnBuy from financial, legal, and reputational risks by monitoring seller behaviour, enforcing compliance, and driving improvements in our risk strategy. You’ll work closely with the Head of Risk and other teams to ensure our sellers meet performance standards and our platform remains trustworthy.
The business will be looking to you to undertake proactive risk mitigation actions to help protect OnBuy from the current, new and emerging risks faced from our seller populations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Seller Risk Mitigation
Analyse and identify developing risks across all of OnBuy’s sellers. Work with the Head of Risk to continually improve and develop the team’s KPIs and detective reporting. Analyse Seller compliance with OnBuy’s Terms and Conditions of trading and associated policies, and lead investigations into anomalous behaviour. Liaise with sellers to understand and address poor performance, taking decisive action to mitigate risk when necessary.
Product Compliance & Violations
Analyse reports made to the OnBuy Product Violation team and identify emerging seller trends. Work with the Head of Risk to continually improve and develop scalable processes to address seller non-compliance identified through both internal and external product scans.
Projects
Represent the risk team in the delivery of key projects through direct engagement with key projects and related ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
Customer Service Escalations and TrustPilot Reviews
Analyse enquiries made by the Customer Service team and TrustPilot reviews left buy buyers to identify emerging trends that may indicate a wider issue with a seller.
Requirements
About You
You’ll bring:
● Competency in Microsoft Excel.
● Excellent communication and analytical abilities
● A collaborative, open, and honest approach
● Previous experience in eCommerce (ideally within an online marketplace)
● Confidence in constructively challenging seller behaviour
● Capable of constructively challenging assumptions.
Bonus if you have:
· Experience querying databases.

Benefits
The salary on offer for this role is up to £27,000-£29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
