About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a well-established, technically focused team delivering high-performing buildings across complex sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical delivery, with experience in secure or government-led projects such as those for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) or Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
You will lead the production and coordination of detailed design information and manage project teams through technical stages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical delivery of complex projects from RIBA Stage 3 onwards
* Prepare and coordinate detailed design, working drawings, and specifications using Revit
* Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure coordinated and buildable design solutions
* Conduct site inspections and provide ongoing technical support during construction
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Building Regulations and security standards
* Support and mentor junior technologists or technicians
Requirements:
* CIAT qualification or working towards chartered status
* Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a UK practice with a strong technical portfolio
* Experience with complex buildings, ideally including MOD, MOJ, healthcare, or secure facilities
* Advanced Revit skills and experience in BIM Level 2 environments
* Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical standards
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* Ability to manage packages independently and meet programme and quality targets
* Experience with government frameworks or public sector clients
* Knowledge of secure facility design standards or government technical requirements
* Security clearance or eligibility to obtain it
