We are currently looking for a Collection and Delivery Driver in the Hove area

You will be responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of community healthcare equipment within people's homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across East Sussex. This equipment ranges from crutches to walking frames to more complex equipment e.g. hoists and beds.
Full training will be given over a 12 week period, after which you will be involved in the servicing and repair of equipment as well be able to carry out adaptations in customers homes such as installation of grab rails. O nce training is complete and the individual is live on the road, you will be able to use the assigned van to get into work everyday
This work involves heavy lifting, so must be physically fit. It also offers a 1 in 4 weekend rota & emergency on call rota. This will eventually become a 1 in 6/7 rota. The on call rota consists of a £15.00 per day payment and any call outs are dealt with overtime, 1.5 Mon-Sat, 2.0 Sunday & bank holidays.
There is a chance for this role to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
* Previous relevant experience within a fast paced environment is preferable however full training will be provided
* A full UK driving licence, help for a minimum two years
* Able to lift heavy equipment
* Clear criminal background - a DBS check and social media screening will be completed if successful in the interview
* Previous van driving / care experience is preferable
* You must be able to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy
* Excellent customer service and professional communication skills are essential
* Due to the adaptations side of the role, basic DIY skills would be advantageous
* 1 in 4 weekend rota & emergency on call rota so flexibility is required
