What You’ll Be Doing
We’re expanding our Nuclear Safety and Regulation Team to support major programmes of strategic national and international importance. Responsibilities include:
* Advising leaders on nuclear legislation, site license applications, and regulatory requirements.
* Supporting relationships with regulatory bodies and managing interfaces.
* Delivering nuclear safety governance, assurance frameworks, and oversight.
* Developing and maintaining nuclear baselines and organizational change processes.
* Supporting design and delivery of nuclear competence assessments and training.
* Implementing compliance operating models for nuclear/radiological safety.
* Preparing and maintaining nuclear safety documentation, including safety cases.
* Supporting end-users with safety case requirements.
* Providing radiological protection advice.
* Promoting a strong nuclear safety culture through leadership and stewardship.
Your Skills And Experiences
* Knowledge of nuclear safety legislation, licensing, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience with goal-setting regulation and good practice application.
* Understanding of safety policy, governance, and challenge mechanisms.
* Experience in regulatory interface management and permissioning.
* Familiarity with management systems and compliance assurance.
* Experience with event reporting and operational feedback systems.
* Development of nuclear capabilities and organizational change management.
* Competency-based training frameworks using SAT.
* Safety case development and implementation methodologies.
* Knowledge of radiological protection and waste management.

The Nuclear Safety Regulation Team
This team provides specialist advice on nuclear/radiological safety standards, compliance, and safety case development to support licensing and operational safety.
