Role purpose
To provide a full recruitment service to St. Modwen Properties, taking accountability for the successful delivery of the end-to-end recruitment process. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture and working closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Operations, the role will blend both knowledge of Resourcing process and best practice.
Key accountabilities
* Act as first point of contact for all recruitment enquiries both internally and externally.
* Ensures the Resourcing service is delivered in line with the process, SLAs and KPIS.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with managers promoting good recruitment practices, in line with St. Modwen’s values.
* Partner with the HRBPs to ensure that outputs are delivered in line with stakeholders' expectations.
* Work effectively with the HR Operations team to ensure that recruitment related activity/administration is delivered as required.
* Working in partnership with our external recruitment agencies, building relationships, monitoring performance and establishing and maintaining the preferred supplier list.
* Pro-actively keep hiring managers, candidates and agencies up-to-date
* Identify appropriate sourcing strategies for roles with a focus on direct sourcing channels ensuring job adverts and attraction materials are in line with the SMP values and Employer Brand.
* Support hiring managers to arranging interviews and assessments.
* Review, develop and maintain recruitment documentation such as interview documents.
* Review and shortlist applications to provide the hiring manager with a high calibre of candidates.
* Advise and support Managers on recruitment and selection process, supporting with interviews where appropriate.
* Deliver recruitment skills training for hiring managers
* Ensure that all candidates have a positive experience during the process, including onboarding.
* Update and maintain the recruitment tracker to log and measure recruitment progress.
* Ensure Workday is utilised for recruitment processes including raising/approving requisitions and hires and management of candidates.
* Producing recruitment reports and data based on Resourcing KPIs to identify improvements and focuses.
* Monitor invoices and recruitment agency spend.
* Act as the subject matter expert, ensuring focus on continuing professional development, keeping up to date with legal requirements and relevant Recruitment developments.
* Any other reasonable task or activity as so required by the Head of People and Culture
Experience, skills and knowledge required
* Significant in-house recruitment experience including candidate sourcing and selection, ideally gained in Construction/Housebuilding
* Experience of working with third party recruitment suppliers.
* Experience of coaching and advising managers on recruitment matters
* Good understanding of equality and diversity within recruitment and selection
* Good level of using MS Office packages, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Able to influence and challenge where appropriate.
* Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-moving performance driven environment and balance multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Able to able to work on own initiative and manage own workload.
* Full drivers licence as travel may be required.
