Job Overview
Join Barclays as a Business Information Security Officer to support the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will provide cyber information security support to the Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) business line, managing and overseeing PBWM’s cyber risk posture.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive and coordinate major cyber security uplift programmes for PBWM.
* Lead first‑line cyber incident management, identifying and escalating regulatory reporting requirements and engaging key stakeholders across PBWM.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand security requirements in business processes and IT projects, enhancing overall risk management.
* Execute risk assessments to identify and prioritise potential cybersecurity threats, guide mitigation strategies and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
* Develop and implement security policies and procedures aligned with the bank’s risk management framework.
* Manage the implementation, testing and monitoring of security controls across the bank’s IT systems to ensure effectiveness and risk mitigation.
* Design and deliver training content and sessions to educate employees and enhance cybersecurity awareness.
* Manage complex cybersecurity incidents, collaborating with IT teams and response experts to analyse, resolve and supervise cases.
* Identify emerging cybersecurity trends, threats and new technologies, advocating the adoption of new security solutions.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
* Financial services background with significant experience in cyber information security, ideally within the industry.
* Extensive experience implementing cyber information security risk management processes and tools, with strong technical and risk assessment skills.
* Critical thinking and analytical skills with proven experience in cyber information security, including systems audit, internal controls and/or security consulting.
* Cyber and information security certifications such as CISA, CISSP or equivalent.
* Understanding of the regulatory landscape in the European Union, Singapore, India and other jurisdictions, including relevant legislation and directives.
* Knowledge of a wide range of network and cloud technologies.
