Job Summary
As an Assistant Director within our Strategy and Execution team, you will assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attend client meetings to help sell work. You will operate in a transaction environment under tight M&A timeframes, leveraging your deep knowledge of technical IT topics across buy‑side and sell‑side mandates.
Responsibilities
* Advise senior clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing transaction strategies.
* Sell, run, and deliver engagements, including pre‑deal (technology due diligence, carve‑out planning), post‑deal (sign‑to‑close, integration planning, synergy tracking), and value‑creation (cost reduction, tech‑enabled VC).
* Lead blended project teams that combine members from transactions and advisory practices.
* Lead complex engagements, managing commercials, resourcing, and risk.
* Drive business origination activities, using networks and delivering pitches and presentations to senior clients.
* Lead practice development initiatives and training programmes to support a strong team culture.
* Act as a role model, supporting the development of junior team members and participating in recruitment activities.
* Continuously learn and develop technical and personal skills through structured learning, coaching, and experiential projects.
Qualifications
* Professional services or consulting experience with a focus on transactions—ideally due diligence, carve‑out, or integrations.
* Broad and deep understanding of a typical IT function (enterprise architecture, strategy, governance, systems integration, application development, service delivery, infrastructure).
* Experience working with private equity and senior IT stakeholders.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior clients, influence, advise, and support key decision makers.
* Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience delivering high‑quality reports and presentations.
* Experience leading large, complex, global delivery programmes.
* Strong team‑leadership skills, especially with diverse teams, and the ability to develop junior staff.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills.
