What you’ll be doing
1. Coach People Managers on complex ER issues, such as conduct, performance or absence management cases, equipping them to lead their teams confidently
2. Manage high-risk and sensitive employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary hearings, and supporting with outcomes
3. Partner with the HR team to develop and implement clear practical policies, procedures and letters, ensuring alignment with best practice and employment legislation
4. Provide advice on complex health related issues, including welfare meetings and medical referrals
5. Analyse ER case data to identify trends and recommend targeted interventions to improve retention and engagement
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
6. CIPD level 5 or above, with in depth knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and commercial awareness
7. You communicate clearly, translating ER issues into practical guidance and presenting option to people managers
8. You handle challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring constructive outcomes even in sensitive situations
9. You remain calm and professional under pressure, managing shifting priorities and ambiguity.
10. You are genuinely committed to doing what’s right for both the business and its people

Working hours
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility dependent on business needs. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role also includes travel to other sites across the UK, as required.
