What’s the role?
The Leyland Facility is where Chicago Town Pizzas started over 30 years ago. We seek a dedicated individual to join our production facility, working alongside teams making Dr. Oetker and Chicago Town branded pizzas.
As a Maintenance Automation Engineer, you will:
* Be an integral part of the Maintenance Team, responsible for all aspects of Automation, including continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, fault-finding, and corrective actions. Good communication and teamwork with all stakeholders are essential.
* Support and collaborate with the International Digitalisation and Automation Team on strategic projects, taking ownership of automation rollouts.
* Work closely with the Capital Investment Project Teams to stay updated on new equipment and resolve complex problems to support our 'future factory' vision.
Your responsibilities include ensuring optimal automation availability across equipment and processes.
Who are we looking for?
You should have a solid understanding of electrical control and automation principles, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues confidently in a live production environment. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to build relationships across departments are vital.
Experience with automation in an FMCG environment, particularly with Siemens PLCs, HMIs, analogue/digital control systems, and instrumentation, is required. The ability to quickly grasp automation concepts across different equipment and processes is essential for making improvements and resolving issues.
