DIN 2303 Accredited Day rate welding engineering contractor required for circa 5 days per month. Job Description The Aerospace Welding Engineer will be a subject matter expert in welding and brazing, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing welding procedures that comply with rigorous aerospace and defense standards, particularly DIN 2303. The role involves ensuring the quality, integrity, and traceability of all welded components for critical applications. Key Responsibilities Procedure Development: Design, develop, and qualify welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (WPQR). Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all welding operations meet the stringent quality requirements of DIN 2303, ISO 3834, and other relevant aerospace/military standards (e.g., AWS D17.1/D17.1M). Personnel Management: Supervise, train, and qualify/re-qualify welders and operators to the required standards, maintaining detailed records of their certifications. Technical Analysis: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine appropriate welding techniques and ensure compliance with design requirements.
