The successful applicant will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within our GP practice. They will be involved in a full range of treatment room duties, managing long-term conditions, wound care, and cervical screening. The role involves working with the wider healthcare team to reduce health inequalities, improve patient outcomes, and support the practice's commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Main duties of the job
The Practice Nurse will undertake a range of nursing assessments and provide appropriate care or treatment in conjunction with our clinical team and practice policies.
You will be expected to support and deliver high-quality care based on the needs of the patient population, including treatment, management plans, screening, preventative care, and patient education. Additionally, you will support the practice in meeting contractual obligations and delivering enhanced service specifications.

Crocus Medical Practice is an innovative, forward-thinking practice led by three partners. We serve approximately 12,500 patients across two sites and are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse.
You will join a well-established team supporting and liaising with in-house clinical staff and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job responsibilities
* Wound management
* Cervical smears
* Routine and childhood immunisations
* Chaperoning and assisting patients during examinations
* Blood tests and requesting pathology tests (e.g., urine culture, swabs)
* Interest in Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Asthma, COPD, Contraception
* Following clinical protocols with referrals to lead nurses or GPs as appropriate
* Maintaining GP and nurse rooms, stocking, and rotating items
* Ordering vaccinations to maintain stock levels
* Participating in administrative systems and maintaining accurate records
* Attending and participating in practice meetings
* Occasional home visits
* Performing any other delegated duties appropriate to the post

* Previous primary care experience
* Sound knowledge and experience in using System 1
