Job details: 9511, Secondment Opportunity / Fixed Term Contract until October 2026, 37 hours per week, £34,434 to £36,363 per annum, Grade H, office base: Elizabeth House, Dereham.

If you have experience working with children and families and a passion for supporting them in effecting sustained change, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can manage a complex caseload of Family Help cases in the Breckland area. The role requires a high level of resilience, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to prioritize, adapt practice, and remain calm under pressure.

The purpose of Family Help is to keep children and young people safe through early intervention, working alongside families, their networks, and other professionals to identify risks, create support plans, and empower families to effect change. You will need to identify and manage risk, maintain ongoing risk reviews, possess strong IT skills (Word, Excel, databases), and communicate effectively at all levels.

Before you apply, we recommend reading the full Job Description and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Betternow Bvekerwa (BB), Prevention Team Manager, via email at betternow.bvekerwa@norfolk.gov.uk.
