Our Tax team is seeking an Private Client Assistant Tax Manager to play a pivotal role in our continued success. As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the team delivering UK tax support and advice to clients. You will manage a client portfolio using your knowledge and skills to add essential value to the offering. You will be responsible for overall quality of individual client assignments and production of the complete product in regards to budget.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Support tax managers and partners with compliance and advisory work.
* Review tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff.
* Conduct technical research on tax legislation or planning opportunities.
* Liaise with clients for information gathering and low-to-mid complexity queries.
* Ensure timely delivery of compliance work (e.g., Self Assessment, tax disclosures).
* Assist in managing junior staff, including mentoring and task allocation.
* Help with billing and engagement letters under supervision.
* Begin developing specialism (e.g., non-doms, trusts, partnerships).
* Execution of work, beginning to manage small client portfolios, and development of leadership skills.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Possessing either full CTA, ATT, AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications or experienced as a Tax Lead
* Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating within a team environment.
* Must have UK Accounting / Practice experience
* Must have UK Private Tax advisory experience.
* People management experience
* Robust communication and interpersonal skills
