The Role: Cover Supervisor
Successful candidates will be placed in secondary schools in the Andover area as a Cover Supervisor.
Your role will involve:
* Covering lessons during short-term teacher absences
* Supervising students while they complete pre-set work
* Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour
* Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all pupils
No lesson planning, marking or active teaching
Gain first-hand experience of life in the classroom
Excellent preparation for future teacher training

During Your Placement You Will:
* Keep a reflective journal of your daily experiences
* Observe lessons within your subject specialism and others
* Learn a variety of teaching styles and behaviour management approaches
* Discover how schools deliver pastoral care, assemblies and registration
* Understand school policies and their implementation
* Learn the syllabus in your subject area and link it to your degree knowledge
* Support pupils with coursework and examination preparation
