Remuneration: £28,000 - £35,000 + bonus

The role of the Specification Technician Flat Roofing Systems will involve:
Specification Technician position dealing with various flat roof systems such as; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc
Produce, check and process incoming technical specification requests, detail drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations
Checking of all incoming specification types produced for all waterproofing systems, against suitability and compatibility
Review completed roof survey reports
Liaison with clients and Area Technical Sales Managers providing technical advice
Dealing with inbound telephone and email enquiries
Checking and understanding specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Technician Flat Roofing Systems with:
Must be a technically minded individual with experience within the construction industry
Experience carrying out calculations such as: wind load, u-value, moisture control, structural calculations, load calculations would be highly advantageous
Candidates coming from an architectural background would be a good fit
Ideally will have experience within the roofing and waterproofing market sector
Familiar with technical literature, specifications and surveys / reports
Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
Ideally will have a construction related degree
Strong technical skills
IT literate(Microsoft Office)
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
