Job Title: English Lecturer

Contract Type: Temporary, Part-time and Full-time opportunities available
Hourly Rate: Up to £45 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Lecturer to join our academic team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective English lessons, supporting students to develop their language, literature, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with curriculum requirements
* Assess, track, and report on student progress and achievement
* Provide academic support and guidance to students
* Develop teaching materials and resources to enhance learning
* Participate in team meetings, quality assurance, and staff development activities
Requirements:
* A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Experience teaching English at [further/higher] education level
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Ability to inspire and support learners with diverse needs
Desirable:
* Experience working in FE/HE sector
* Familiarity with online teaching platforms and blended learning methods
* Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learner needs
