Role: Cyclical Maintenance Officer REF 100197 Contract Length: 3 month contract with possible extension Location: Hybrid/Cambridge - 2 day per week on site - ideally IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £250 per day Security Clearance: BPSS Spinwell is recruiting for a Cyclical Maintenance Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CYCLICAL MAINTENANCE OFFICER To oversee and manage highway maintenance works to ensure that the highway network is managed and maintained to a safe standard for the benefit of our communities. By implementing reactive, preventative, and cyclical maintenance schemes, the Highway Maintenance Officer will contribute to the effective management of Cambridgeshire’s highway network, inclusive of footways, cycle routes, carriageways, and public rights of way. To work closely with local communities to ensure that the County Council maintains the highway to a standard which aligns with local aspirations and needs and by keeping communities and customers informed of our works, the Highway Maintenance Officer will contribute to achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. By reacting to highway incidents (e.g., flooding or damage caused by traffic collisions), the Highway Maintenance Officer plays a vital role as the Council’s front-line representative on the network. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CYCLICAL MAINTENANCE OFFICER IT Skills/Word/Teams/Outlook H&S Training CSCS card ideally Winter Maintenance of the Highways experience Competent in Flood/Drainage issues on the Highway GIS, ideally Ability to clearly investigate presenting data and report findings accordingly Team Player with can-do attitude Understanding of Risk in relation to project delivery Competent in Spreadsheet/Excel Good People Skills Full UK Driving Licence If you are a Cyclical Maintenance Officer, apply now or send your CV to Spinwell!
