We are seeking a People Advisor for our People & Culture Team for our Cheltenham, Bristol or Birmingham office (hybrid working between home and office). The HR team are based across our offices including Cheltenham, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Amersham. It provides a full HR service to the Firm encompassing Total Rewards, People Experiences, OD & Talent, Resourcing and Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations. The People Experience team works in partnership with the business to fully understand the people priorities aligned to delivering the wider business strategies, developing and enabling add value people solutions to drive add value delivery. The People Advisor will report into the Head of People Experience. Responsibilities The role of People Advisor is a pivotal role within the People Experience team. Using established advisory expertise to work with dedicated business areas as a trusted, credible advisor, this is a generalist role focused on effective employment relations advice; policy management as well as supporting with advising on a full range of people and change initiatives to help enable both delivery of the people and culture strategy as well as functional people agendas. The People Advisor works with established expertise to: Have a full understanding of business area functionality, deliverables and key challenges, enabling commercial advice and credible support to key stakeholders Support the creation of people plans / priorities and initiatives for business areas, defining the specific people advisor add value priorities to contribute to successful delivery Advise on employment relations cases at all levels of complexity. Coach and influence stakeholders on their commercial options and solutions driving leader accountability and keeping our Firm Values in mind at all times Ensure cases are managed proactively with an effective, consistent approach to advice taken across all business areas, cases are resolved informally where possible Proactively engage in Employment Law / legislation updates. Take responsibility for actioning updates to our policies, guides and templates; educating the people team and wider stakeholders on updates and changes as required Champion our Culture, advising and coaching leaders on how to create working environments which result in amazing people experiences Support the business engagement and delivery of people related projects and initiatives to affect our future focused people and culture strategy Be a change champion; support and advise stakeholders in the effective management of change initiatives Be responsible for business area data reporting and support the provision ofinsight to drive performance and engagement Support the People Operations team to add value to the right conditions for success with an outcome of credible data and business communication as required Support the Talent teams to advise the business on Talent initiatives as required Support the Reward team to advise the business on reward related initiatives as required Take ownership of personal development The above is intended to describe the general nature and responsibilities of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities of employees in this role.
