PRS are currently assisting a client of ours to recruit a Mechanical Shift Engineer for a large blue-chip organisation based in Liverpool Street.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a client-facing environment, takes pride in high standards.
The Role
As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building services systems, with a strong focus on PPMs, reactive works and compliance.
Key duties include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on mechanical plant
Reactive maintenance and fault finding
Working on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, HVAC and associated systems
Supporting statutory compliance and site documentation
Liaising with subcontractors and specialist service providers
Being client-facing, representing the service provider to a high standard
Supporting shift handovers and team coordination

What We’re Looking For
Strong mechanical bias within building services
Experience with PPMs and reactive maintenance in commercial environments
Confident communicator with a can-do attitude
Comfortable dealing directly with clients and stakeholders
Flexible and willing to work overtime when required
Team player who takes ownership and pride in their work
