The Recipe
We are seeking a key business partner, influencer, and advisor to the Manufacturing and Distribution teams on site, as well as a proactive member of the Operational finance team. You will contribute to delivering the business strategy and Financial Framework.
This role is based at Tuscany Park, Wakefield, with responsibilities also covering Stockton and Belshill. Travel between Tuscany and Stockton will be required.
Our Tuscany Park facility, opened in 2005, is a 'super bakery' located on the outskirts of Normanton at Wakefield Europort. It features three high-speed, highly automated manufacturing plants producing products like Toastie, Farmhouse, Danish, Wholemeal, and sliced bread rolls.
We employ around 500 colleagues at Tuscany Park and 70 in our Howden depot, ensuring our freshly baked products reach customers across the UK daily. With ongoing innovation and investment, we continue to grow!
Essential Ingredients
* Qualified CIMA (or equivalent) accountant with at least 1 year post-qualification experience, ideally within an FMCG business
* Proven experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders (financial and operational)
* Ability to identify and influence cost-saving initiatives
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent analytical skills
* Effective communication and influencing abilities
* Commitment to people development
* Proficient IT skills (Excel, SAP)
Key Accountabilities and Measures
* Business Partnering: Lead site finance, build strong relationships with manufacturing and distribution teams, turn data into insights, be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, and maximize the use of key cost drivers and KPIs.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive performance through insightful budgeting and forecasting, align site inputs with business strategy, develop processes, and focus on key cost areas.
* Business-wide Projects: Lead or contribute proactively to finance and non-finance projects across the business.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and controls.
* Health & Safety: Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and standards.
* Productivity: Collaborate with site teams to identify and implement productivity initiatives.
* Capital: Manage the site capex process.
* Lead for Growth: Manage and develop the finance team on site, support continuous professional development, and foster team growth.
