Production Manager
Location: United Kingdom
Salary: £55,000 - £58,000 plus 15% bonus
Package: Private healthcare, pension (up to 5%), 33 days holiday
We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to lead and develop production operations at a fast-paced facility within the textiles and laundry services sector. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in lean manufacturing or process industries, who thrives on driving continuous improvement and managing teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective results.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will:
Lead and develop production teams to achieve operational objectives in line with the site and company business plan.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with quality standards, investigating production issues and implementing corrective actions.
Monitor and analyse KPIs, making recommendations to improve productivity, efficiency and service.
Collaborate with engineering, service and logistics teams to enhance site performance and resolve operational issues quickly.
Manage production planning to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of customer commitments.
Contribute to budget development, cost control and long-term strategic planning alongside the General Manager.
Lead on people management, including absence, performance, training, grievances and Health & Safety responsibilities.
Deputise for the General Manager when required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build effective, motivated teams.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and use insights to drive improvements.
Experience of production, supply chain and/or service management in a lean environment.
Financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
IT proficiency (MS Office, Project, PowerPoint).
Desirable Experience
Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
T-Doc systems or knowledge of ISO standards.
Experience within regulated industries (e.g. medical, clinical, manufacturing).
