Medical Assistant job description
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and highly organised Medical Assistant/Health Care assistant to join our growing team at the London Pregnancy Clinic. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in supporting their journey through pregnancy care with empathy and professionalism. This role combines patient-facing duties with administrative support and chaperoning responsibilities. Experience in phlebotomy is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Clinical Support
* Work closely with and assist sonographers, doctors, nurses, and midwives to provide high-quality care.
* Chaperone during ultrasound scans and clinical procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
* Assist with compliance-related tasks such as audits, infection prevention and stock control.
What We’re Looking For
* Experienceas Medical Assistant or Health Care Assistant(medical or clinical setting preferred).
* Confident communicator with a friendly and calm demeanour.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task and remain efficient under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with clinical software is a plus (training will be provided).
* Able to explain medical procedures clearly and assess the suitability of services based on patient queries.
* Phlebotomy trained or experience.
* Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
* Respond to all patient enquiries promptly and empathetically via telephone, email, and WhatsApp when required.
* Provide clear and accurate information about clinic services, appointments, and procedures.
* Prior experience in a pregnancy or women’s health clinic.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
