Electrical Field Installation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Field Installation Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex electrical systems in offshore environments.
This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.
* Troubleshoot issues during offshore installation and maintenance, using logical approaches and various testing equipment.
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of projects.
* Assemble and test electrical systems, working closely with engineering disciplines and operational/ workshop technicians.
* Diligently document all activities, adhering to internal processes and ISO 9001 documentation control.
* Effectively communicate with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven field experience with a strong understanding of termination, power, and networking.
* Fault-finding skills, using multimeters, oscilloscopes, current meters, and other diagnostic tools.
* Troubleshooting and recommendation capabilities.
* Excellent IT literacy, including troubleshooting, IP addresses, DNS, NTP, and PLC experience.
* NMEA/MODBUS experience is desirable, as well as mechanical exposure.
* Auditability of installation reports and daily progress reports.
* Offshore training and certification are preferred but not necessary, as full training and certification will be provided.
* Flexibility to work extended periods away from home, including weekends and holidays.
