The Role
Land & Integrated Force Division is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Program Management Office (PMO) team. Under limited direction, as the Contract Manager you will support projects within the Division across all phases of the procurement lifecycle through assisting with development of relevant artefacts or providing guidance and support in accordance with policy and legislation.
We are seeking applications from high-performing individuals who has strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be accountable to have maintained a well-developed understanding of the relevant legislative frameworks and Defence procurement and financial policies, with the ability to interpret and apply to project requirements.
Broadly, the responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):
1. Assist with building contract and procurement knowledge across the division through establishing processes and providing training as applicable;
2. Assist with drafting contracting document as required;
3. Provide guidance on simple and complex procurements, and ensure compliance with relevant legislative and local policy requirements;
4. Establish best practice and look for continuous improvement opportunities;
5. Engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve project outcomes;
6. Monitoring and managing divisional contract administration, performance and risks;
7. Ability to understand, analyse, identify solutions to complex contracts and commercial queries, and identify matters that require escalation.
