Catering Assistant – South West Norse
* Location: Hawkchurch Primary School, Devon
* Salary: £12.21/hour, equates to £25,396.80 pro rata
* Hours Per Week: 20hpw
* Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm
South West Norse is the successful service partnership between Devon County Council and Norse Group, delivering a range of essential facilities management services to a growing number of clients in the region.
As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant join our team at Portesham Primary School, drive to and serve meals at Hawkchurch Primary School on a Permanent, Part-Time basis.
We will be providing a full catering service to the school, and your role will be to support the kitchen team with food preparation, service delivery and kitchen maintenance. This is a customer facing position, so you will need to be confident engaging with our clients on a daily basis.
A full UK Driving Licence and personal vehicle is required for this role. Mileage is paid at 45p/mile when driving between the 2 sites.
Responsibilities
Your role includes supporting the kitchen team with food preparation, service delivery and kitchen maintenance as part of a full catering service to the school. You will be customer facing and will need to engage confidently with clients on a daily basis.
Your Experience and Qualifications
* Experience within a catering or dining environment
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Great communication skills
* Good attention to detail whilst delivering an excellent customer service
