We now have a new permanent job vacancy within the Mending & Inspection Dept:
Fabric Inspector (Night Shift)
48 Hours per week: Monday to Thursday 18:00 – 06:00
Main Job Role:
To inspect pieces of cloth to a very high-quality standard across all products.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspect pieces after they have been through the finishing process.
* String faults within the pieces as well as picking contamination from the pieces.
* Label each piece inspected and ensure the correct shade, number and meterage are booked in or out of the internal system (TMS).
* Highlight any issues with the pieces to the manager and / or technical team, via the handover procedure.
* The role may also involve completing loom patrols; observe looms in the weaving area looking for faults. Report faults found to the Tuner / Weaving Manager. (Training provided).
* Provide cover for the Greasy Perch role as required. (Training provided)
* Work as part of the Mending & Inspection team to ensure targets are met.
* Work to ISO 9001 (Quality) & Environmental) standards (training provided).
* Ensure good general housekeeping of work areas.
* Assist in the maintenance of a safe working environment by adhering to the company health and safety rules and work procedures.
Person Requirements
* Good eyesight is a requirement of the role
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and team working skills
* This is a physical role which will involve being on your feet throughout the shift.
Qualifications / Previous Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role or other experience within the textile industry would be desirable although full on the job training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Applicants must be able to demonstrate a reliable work history.
