Sport Development Officer Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 Contract : Full-time, Permanent Location: Manchester Hours: 37.5 per week Our client, UA92, does things differently. About the Role: As a key member of the Sport92 team, you'll be at the heart of student sport and physical activity at UA92. You'll lead on the coordination of their sports clubs, BUCS fixtures, and wellbeing initiatives, while supporting students to thrive in a vibrant, inclusive sporting environment. You'll be the go-to person for student sport queries, manage club affiliations, and work closely with student committees to deliver safe, engaging and competitive sport experiences. You'll also drive their social media presence and collaborate across departments to deliver exciting events and campaigns. What You'll Be Doing: Be the first point of contact for student sport and physical activity enquiries. Coordinate BUCS fixtures, travel, officials, and results submissions. Support student sports clubs with governance, training, and development. Maintain relationships with external venues and ensure risk assessments are in place. Lead Sport92's social media channels with support from student media officers. Plan and deliver inclusive campaigns and events to boost participation. Collaborate with Student Life and Marketing teams to promote sport and wellbeing. Represent UA92 at BUCS meetings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations. Administration tasks such as taking minutes of meetings, organising working groups and organising actions as the business needs require. Support flagship events like Varsity, Colour Run, and the annual Sports Awards. Contribute to recruitment and conversion events, including Open Days and Inductions. What They're Looking For: Experience in sport administration, ideally in HE or a governing body. Passionate about sport and creating inclusive student experiences.
