A well-known FTSE company operating on a global scale is seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join their Legal and Governance team as a Board Support and Governance Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of board and committee governance, while also providing high-level executive support to the General Counsel and Company Secretary.

Your responsibilities:

This role plays a key part in supporting the effective operation of Board and Committee governance, including coordinating meeting logistics, preparing agendas, minutes, and board packs, and liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication. The successful candidate will maintain governance calendars, statutory records, support regulatory filings, and provide high-level executive assistance to the General Counsel and Company Secretary. A strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices is essential. The role also involves implementing and monitoring governance policies, compliance tracking, and internal audits. The position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information discreetly.

What you'll need to succeed:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in governance and board support within a corporate or legal environment, with a solid understanding of corporate governance frameworks and company secretarial practices. They will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information are crucial. Experience as an EA to senior board members is advantageous.
